Meet Joe Lauretti

Joe Lauretti is a proud lifelong Shelton resident, father, and working professional running to represent Connecticut’s 113th District.  A graduate of Shelton Public Schools and a third-generation member of the community, Joe grew up here and is ready to bring a strong, disciplined, fiscally responsible voice to the Capitol on behalf of the place he calls home.

Joe works as a Materials Planner on the F135 program at Pratt & Whitney, where he helps manage the complex supply-chain network behind some of the nation’s most advanced military aircraft.  Working in a high-pressure environment has taught him how to solve problems, stay focused, and deliver results — qualities he’s ready to put to work at the State Capitol.

Joe’s lifelong connection to Shelton is central to who he is.   A graduate of Shelton Public Schools and an active member of the Shelton RTC, he has spent years involved in the community he calls home.  As the son of Mayor Mark Lauretti, Joe grew up seeing firsthand how local issues affect families, neighborhoods, and taxpayers – an experience that has given him a unique insight, not advantage, and inspiration to forge his own path and commitment to serving the people of Shelton.

Joe is running for State Representative because Shelton is his home – the place he grew up, the community he’s raising his daughter in, and the city his family has called home for generations.  He wants Shelton to remain a place where families can afford to live, work, and build their futures.  Joe is committed to protecting Shelton’s strong record of low taxes, responsible budgeting, and economic growth while ensuring Hartford does not burden residents with higher costs.  He believes every resident, from young families to retirees, deserves a more affordable Connecticut and a representative who will fight for practical, common-sense solutions.
